The start of our Spring Season is March 2nd @ 4:30pm at the Guntersville Recreation Center. Our Junior/Youth Rowing program sets an unparalleled standard for youth development. Our Competitive Travel Team is for rowing athletes, experienced or novice (new to rowing), who are dedicated to improving their rowing skills and competing at a high level. Within a strong team environment, rowers will challenge themselves physically and mentally. Rowers learn the art of rowing at the highest level while developing life-long leadership and team-building skills. We believe that rowing offers good health and fresh air, but at our sports highest expression, we build essential relationships between people from all walks of life that would not be possible without the shared discipline of shells, oars, and water. We presently serve athletes from City and County public, private and home schools.
Practice is five times per week, with additional optional practices throughout respective seasons, and will include several weekend Regattas each season. These seasons are broken down into Fall Head Racing, Winter Strength Training, Spring Sprint Racing and Summer Camps & Programs. All determinations for athletes to join the Competitive Squad are at the final discretion of the Director/Head Coach, based upon athlete age, physical maturity and emotional maturity.
